Van der Vliet Quality Yachts B.V. ("us", "we", or "our") operates the www.yachtsforsale.nl website, a yacht brokerage company, as well as, but not limited to, related services such as; yacht consultancy, -valuation, -chartering and -management. Those, and any other services, and all other communications through written or oral means, such as e-mail or phone (collectively, together with the website, named the “Service” or “Services”) are covered by this Full Privacy Policy.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your Personal Information for providing, and improving, the Service. By using the Service and/or by giving active consent, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use, accessible at https://yachtsforsale.nl/terms-of-use.

Collection And Use Of Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your e-mail address, name, phone number, postal address or other information that we deem to be relevant ("Personal Information"). We collect this information for the purpose of providing our Service, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries and improving our services.

Examples of data we collect and why:

  • Name and contact details; we may use your name and contact details to communicate with you about our Services. These details may be stored in our CRM database.
  • Interests; we may document your assumed or stated interests regarding our Service based on our communication and may approach you with relevant communication about this assumed interest.
  • E-mail conversations and interactions; we may save e-mail conversations in our CRM database so that we can easily find our earlier conversations and/or can show what has been discussed should this prove to be relevant in the future. We may also collect information regarding a client’s interaction with e-mail messages, such as whether the client opens, clicks on, or forwards a message.
  • Personal documentation; for the purpose of the buying or selling of a yacht, charter of a yacht, consultancy, valuation and other services we may provide, we might require and store copies of ID papers, company details, bank details and other necessary data and documentation. We are required to keep these documents in order to fulfill our legal obligations; for example in the case of a lawsuit, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
  • Job applications; when we receive job applications, your C.V. might be saved for a period of maximum 6 months.
  • Photographs and video material; for the purpose of providing our Service we may require image material such as photos, videos and 3D scans. This material might contain personally identifiable features. If requested we will take steps to hide these features to the best of our ability.
  • Yacht data; we may share some general yacht data and information with Yachts.nl, a Dutch-built yacht portal.
  • Website traffic; we track the use of our website to give us an idea of the most viewed pages, website journey and basic visitor profiles. We do this to optimize our website and its performance and to improve the overall customer experience. More on this can be read in the “Logging Of Data” chapter.

Logging Of Data

We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service's functionality. Third Party Service Providers

We may employ a select number of third party service providers, companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection and security standards. We only share information with them that is required for the Services offered and to perform specific tasks on our behalf. We have a third-party vendor agreement with them to ensure compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This contractually binds them to keep any information we share with them confidential and to process any Personal Data only according to the GDPR. Their data may be stored on servers outside of the EU. We will, otherwise than stated above, never give or sell your data to anyone.

Data Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. This includes, but is not limited to; firewalls, password protection and other access and authentication controls. We use SSL technology to encrypt data during transmission through public internet. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you. If we learn of a security systems breach, we will inform you and the authorities of the occurrence of the breach in accordance with applicable law.

Privacy Of Minors

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16 (“Minors” or "Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 16 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers and database.

Consent
